Mulberry

The Black Mulberry (Morus Nigra) is a tree native to Southwestern Asia. It bears small fruits that are dark purple in color - to almost black - when fully ripe. These fruits are known to have a sweet and tart taste, and are soft in texture. Mulberry fruits are famous for their numerous health benefits. They have powerful antioxidant properties and contain countless vitamins and minerals that help boost immunity and overall health. They are also rich in plant compounds, which contribute to their color and beneficial health effects. An example is resveratrol, a natural polyphenol which is known to contain anti-aging properties. Mulberry fruits have been shown to regulate blood pressure and reduce bad cholesterol. Mulberry leaves on the other hand contain similar health benefits, they regulate blood sugar and are considered good for the skin. Hills & Berries
