Madurai Adheenam

Madurai Adheenam is the oldest Saivite adheenam, a form of Hindu monastery, in South India. It was established more than 1,300 years ago, and is said to have been rejuvenated by Thirugnana Sambandar. It is located near the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, one of the most important Shiva–Shakti shrines.

Sri Harihara Sri Gnanasambanda Desika Swamigal, Madurai Adheenam Chief says, "Prime Minister Modi went to Rameswaram, took a holy dip into the sea there, meditated and had a fast. I have never seen such a Prime Minister. We should have done many good deeds to have such a pious Prime Minister. He is fond of sanyasis and is on spiritual path so I respect Modi. He says, "I got an invitation for Ayodhya Ram Mandir ceremony but I can't go because it's winter there. I will go there after winter." https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1749096854439231945
