There is so much talk about finding balance in work and life and the importance of sound mental health. While no one can refute the significance, putting action into the words is critical. Sharing a few thoughts that have always worked for me, and I'd love for you to chime in and share your views ( btw this pic was from a few days ago when we visited the Golden Temple.)

1. Family is not an important thing. It is the only thing. And the memories we make with our family are always so meaningful! So spend time with your family because home is the only place you are loved irrespective of who you are.

2. Have faith and meditate. Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, man cannot live without feeding his soul. It encourages better relationships with oneself and others. Spirituality can help you deal with stress by giving you a sense of peace, purpose, and forgiveness.

3. I cannot emphasize the importance of physical activity in life. One must remember that exercise is a celebration of what your body can do. Not a punishment for what you ate. The levels of chemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, stress hormones, and endorphins, change when you exercise.

Our self-awareness and sensitivity towards mental health have changed things for the better. But there's still much more we can do to evolve as a society. And to just be ‘kind’ to those around us!
