Catherine Bent was a Cornish water diviner from the mid-20th century, known for her strong physical reactions to underground water, which she located for farmers. Footage from 1954 shows her with extreme body twitches and jolts that would stop her in her tracks when she was near a water source. She was described as one of Britain's most successful professional water diviners, locating numerous deep boreholes with high accuracy.
