We’re not here to tell you how to run your life when it comes to exercise, but just a minute or two a day can make all the difference.

Wishlist for A Stunning ToDo List 2Do from @guidedways

  1. bug !? – “Show Done in ToDos” is OFF. Done is also not shown in the “Done” view
  2. Sorting Options: new “Alarm Time” – Why.. When there are many in 1 day, by due date is not useful!
  3. Let me sequence items within a calendar like the calendar sequence because priority is relative (The Taste of the Day)
  4. Badge counter – More options – Settings in calendar to include in count
  5. Like Today, provide an option to see Tomm or “Next 3 days” etc – Also, make it possible to move from today to Tomm and v-v
  6. move or replicate “Show Done in ToDos” from App Settings to Calendar Settings – Calendar settings could have a Yes/No/NA and take precedence over the App Settings
  7. Remove use of Reset in screens. Use Cancel only
  8. When I press Reset (again and again), take me to ToDo overview
  9. web based sync (and item creation) like Simplenote
  10. Etc: tweets from @_everaldo, @t87, @gadgetero

If an iPhone app is good for John Gruber

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

John Gruber’s review of simplenote : ..not only is Simplenote my favorite, it might be my favorite third-party iPhone app, period..

smokingapples.com’s notes apps roundup : ..it’s hard to beat if you’re looking for a clean, simple, stable, syncing notes app..

drdrang’s impressions of simplenote

simplenoteapp.com is so clean

Simplenote

(now to complete the title) It should be good for me :-)

Suggestions

  1. sort notes
  2. if there are lots of empty lines in the note after the title… just display the title only on the overview page instead of the first non-empty line after the title
  3. email – option to just accept an email within the app and send vs. opening the mail app
  4. provide some Paul Graham’s essays as default notes :-)
  5. ..

iPhone

iPhone. Therefore I am.

A friend was very surprised that I bought an iPhone. I bought a Nokia N95 8GB and one of the key reasons was the 5 Megapixel camera

Compared to that, iPhone camera resolution is just 2 and out of the box, there is no option to record videos. I still do not know how to record videos.. But it does not matter _so_ much now!

The apps more than make up for this missing feature!

Most of the iPhone Ads end with “Solving Life’s Dilemmas one app at a time”

The Nokia N95 GB was not one of the first answers for “When your house is on fire..” scenario. The iPhone is

The iPhone and many of the apps are awesome and inspiring..

In Hard Work and Practice in Programming, Tim O’Reilly writes

There’s a long arc in computing that teaches us how much we gain through advances in ease-of-use, with the iPhone being the latest breakthrough success. But it’s important to remember how much we lose when we think that ease of use is everything. Many things worth doing are hard, requiring a great deal of practice before you achieve mastery.

The iPhone inspires me to achieve mastery in many areas :-)

ps: I have been twittering more often and that will only increase with tweetie getting better.. => twitter.com / colladude

pps: Another article comes to mind so very often in the last days Helping to Write History

“So,” he [Obama] said. “What’s your theory on speechwriting?”

“A speech can broaden the circle of people who care about this stuff,” Favreau said. “How do you say to the average person that’s been hurting: ‘I hear you. I’m there. Even though you’ve been so disappointed and cynical about politics in the past, and with good reason, we can move in the right direction. Just give me a chance.’ ”

“I think this is going to work,” Obama said.

Why I bought iPhone App Classics

Monday, December 8th, 2008
  1. At first, there was a pointer to a mosaic of the 10,000+ iPhone apps
  2. The post How to prevent the App Store from becoming the Crap Store
  3. Q&A With Co-Creator of Classics iPhone E-Reader
  4. very well designed and informative taptaptap blog blog blog
  5. Several Important Principles – “Everything should look amazing”
  6. Designing Classics
  7. Fundamentally, a goal for 2009 to read more

Why is there no link from classicsapp.com to taptaptap.com ?

The 21.9 MB is still being downloaded.. Is there any site showing the graph of $ against download size?

The iTunes Store is not supported in this [Singapore] country

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Bought an iPhone in Singapore from SingTel

Wanted to experience the sound quality.. and Pressed iPod

-> No Content. You can download content from iTunes

Pressed iTunes

-> Cannot Connect to the iTunes Store – The iTunes Store is not supported in this country.

Is it too much from Apple to show only icons of apps that work in Singapore

The camera feature works

Am still searching for the option to record videos?

Still wondering if I upgraded or downgraded from Nokia N95 8GB to Apple iPhone 3G..
